Monday Night in Theory and Practice

Join Sword and Serpent on Monday nights as we explore topics related to the occult, mysticism and magick. Sometimes this takes the form of a class, a workshop, or a ritual. No prior experience or attendance of previous events is needed. For classes we suggest bringing something to take notes. Some Workshops may have a kit fee. And rituals may have dress requirements. Check the event description below for more information. 

Note: 

[Hybrid] - Classes marked as [Hybrid] are available to join LIVE online during the class or attend in person (see [in-person] for details). If you wish to join us online, we use Discord to distribute the class link which is through Google Meet. Each class is $5 payable to Sword and Serpent through Paypal, payment info will be on the Discord.

[In-Person] - Events marked as [In-person] are only available at temple and have no online component.

Private classes - These classes require you to be a member of the OTO in order to attend. If you have not attended with us recently (in the past year), please contact us ahead of time so that we can verify you.

• 4/14 @ 7 PM - [Hybrid] Class - Vocal Vibration in Magick - Techniques of using vocal vibration in Magick. 

• 4/21 @ 7 PM - [Hybrid] Class - Exploring the Thoth Tarot - In this series of classes we will examine the elements portrayed on each of the Major Arcana (ATU) of the Thoth Tarot. We will be covering ATU XVIII & XIX this evening.

• 4/28 @ 7 PM - [Hybrid] Class - Tantra Talk - Tantra and the Self (discussion and practice). - Practitioners of Magick frequently hear about finding their "true self". In this class we examine how Tantra and its views could direct the practitioner toward this Self Realization process, and provide practices and techniques for remembering the True Self.

• 5/19 @ 7 PM - [Hybrid] Class - The 8 Limbs of (Thelemic) Yoga - This class will cover the 8 limbs of Yoga as outlined in Liber ABA Part 1. This class will look at what Crowley had to say on the subject, and how others have interpreted these practices.

• 6/2 @ 7 PM - [Hybrid] Class - Intro to Cabala - This new series will focus on concepts of Cabala related to our magick practices. (Details will be updated)
